Moonraker Brewing Company Zam Bone Imperial IPA
Canned 5/20/20 (reviewed 6/18/20). ABV 8% IBUs 50
Appearance: Hazy, Straw, Guava Juice, Finger width soapy head
Aroma: Tropical, Pineapple, Mango, Papaya
Palate: Grassy, Hop throughout, Balanced mouthful
Finish: Dry mouth, Bitter
Experience: It has been a while since I have taken notes on what I am tasting when drinking a beer. Normally I will go through sight, smells, taste, and finish of the beer in my head or friends and then just enjoy the beer. So it did take me some time to get back into taking notes. I will get into the rhythm soon. Initially, I assumed this beer was going to be more on the boozy side being an imperial IPA but not at all! It was very earthy, grass, and full of hops. This drank more like an IPA because of the lack of any boozie notes. Grade 5/5!
